WWU Huxley Speaker Series focuses on the Salish Sea for winter quarter

January 24, 2019

Western Washington University’s Huxley College of the Environment runs a year-long speaker series featuring a wide range of guest lecturers to address topics of environmental concern. This free series is open to the public and is designed to bring together environmentally minded members of the WWU and Bellingham communities.

This winter quarter, Huxley is partnering with the Salish Sea Institute – a key partner with WWU’s Center for Canadian-American Studies – to focus the whole speaker series on the Salish Sea region. Four of the speakers live in British Columbia (Elin Kelsey, Christianne Wilhelmson, Misty MacDuffee and Ray Harris), and the series overall will address critical issues that span the U.S.–Canada border.
