Sam Farquhar, FLAS alum, awarded Enders Graduate Fellowship

Samantha Farquhar, Canadian Studies Center Foreign Language and Area Studies alum (2018) and current PhD student at East Carolina University’s Integrated Coastal Sciences program, was awarded the Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS) Enders Graduate Fellowship. This fellowship will allow Samantha to pursue her dissertation work on the relationship between industrial fishing and food security in Nunavik, Québec. Samantha hopes this research will help aid decision-makers as more commercial fisheries develop in Arctic spaces.
