Recent FLAS Fellow, Elizabeth Wycoff (MPH, Epidemiology) is now working with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
Elizabeth has recently accepted a position as a Training Grant Recipient with the NIOSH-affiliated Occupational Health at the Human-Animal Interface training program. The program is in collaboration with the UW Center for One Health research, where the training program promotes a “One Health” approach to occupational health and safety for animal workers. Elizabeth’s research is focused on understanding the genomic epidemiology of the recent spread of Bird Flu on farms in North America.
In her time as a FLAS fellow, Elizabeth has focused on One Health and infectious disease within Arctic Indigenous populations.
