Mark Turin (second from right in group photo) provided an dynamic lecture at UW covering both the Digital Himalaya Project and a new project to protect First Nations languages in the Bella Bella region in British Columbia. Mark is the Chair of the First Nations and Endangered Languages Program, Acting Co-Director at the Institute for Critical Indigenous Studies, and Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.
