In early January the Canadian Studies Center, Center for Global Studies, and the Global Business Center met with colleagues at Northwest Indian College (NWIC) as part of a joint Title VI-NWIC collaboration in curriculum development. This past summer Myron Fryberg, Jr. developed the first course to build a concentration in cross-border curriculum for the bachelor’s in Tribal Governance and Business Management, ECON 388: Traditional Historical Trade in the Pacific Northwest. The course will look at traditional trade relations between Indigenous nations in Canada and the United States. Following this, Fryberg will develop a course that compares and contrasts contemporary governance and business management on both sides of the border.
