Corbett Scholar, Leo Mansfield, University of Victoria, Comes to UW

June 26, 2018

I’m Leo Mansfield and I will be studying at the UW in the 2018–19 academic year. I am a economics and computer science major at the University of Victoria. I’m excited to attend UW and live in Seattle because it is one of the great software centres (Silicon Valley being the first), where world-changing software is written by everyday developers. Being a computer science major and studying at the UW for a year is a great opportunity to get to know people who have settled in a good tech career and learn from important perspectives. I eventually want to work in data analysis, hopefully in the field of environmental restoration.

The Corbett British Columbia-Washington International Exchange Program Fund provides an opportunity for undergraduate students at the University of Washington to spend two semesters at the University of British Columbia or University of Victoria; and for students from the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria to spend three quarters at the University of Washington.
