April, 2023 – Center Affiliates travel to Fairbanks, Alaska for research project

In mid-April 2023, a team met in Fairbanks, Alaska as part of the research project, “Connectedness for Arctic Indigenous Child, Family and Community Wellbeing: Curriculum Development for Nome Eskimo Community,” a Strategic Research Fund award from UW’s Information School. PIs included: Patricia Johnson, former JSIS Banting Fellow (2020-22) and Assistant Professor, University of Calgary, Edmonton; Tram Nguyen, UW’s 2021-22 Fulbright Canada Chair in Arctic Studies, University of Toronto; Jason Young, Senior Research Scientist/Affiliate Assistant Professor, Information School; and Jessica Sanigaq Ullrich, Assistant Professor, Washington State University, Spokane, Washington
