The Native Organization of Indigenous Scholars (NOIS) was created to bring together University of Washington graduate and professional students of Indigenous descent. By building a supportive community in which to network, socialize and share stories/theories, we aim to examine conceptions of culture, knowledge, and power through an Indigenous lens. It is our hope that sharing our stories and knowledge in this way will create shifts in theory and practice, as individuals and as a collective.
