“I’m like a spider—not letting anyone go and loving everyone. Is that so wrong?”
Filmed on location in Taiwan, a universal story about interpersonal relationships unfolds through the captivating journey of Fei—a young man making a living in the big city working as a male escort.
Director C.B. Yi’s debut feature, nominated for multiple categories at Cannes, is a phenomenally gritty and melancholic vignette of men’s desire and hope caught in the tension between homosexuality and family identity, as young “moneyboy” Fei comes to realize that while his family might be willing to take his money, they will never accept him for whom he loves.
This film contains scenes of violence and sexually explicit content.
This Pride Month Special Event is made possible by the generous support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan, the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan, the Taiwanese American Professionals – Seattle, and SIFF.
