In early April the Pacific Northwest Canadian Studies Consortium held its first annual general meeting via Zoom.
The Consortium has held an ann of the officers since its founding in 1986. This year was unusual. As a result of the stay-at-home order due to COVID-19, the meeting was held via Zoom. Members joined from University of Washington, Seattle University, Portland State University, University of Idaho, University of Northern British Columbia and two independent members from Washington State.
Officers discussed the fall retreat and Columbia Faculty Field Course 2021.
The consortium supports knowledge of the interconnection between Canada and the United States. It promotes and sustains cross border connections between universities through supporting teaching, research, and Canadian Studies projects. The Canadian Studies Center serves as the secretariat for the Consortium.
