Annual General Meetings
Annual General Meetings
The meetings have been mini-conferences, colloquia or round table discussions. They sometimes include keynote talks and a sharing of best practices for teaching about or research on Canada. University of Washington’s 2017-18 Fulbright Canada Visiting Chair in Arctic Studies remarked of the AGM, “I wish I had more interactions with other ‘thinkers’ like this … most of my meetings are either extremely informal (scientists at a pub) or quite formal (presentations at a conference). This was the best format.”
Annual General Meetings
2020, September 18, PNWCSC will have a virtual board meeting and retreat. The main topic of discussion will be how best to serve Canandianists in our region. The executive group has been consulting with other Canadian Studies groups and will propose to change our membership from the current institutional membership to an individual membership. This will also require a change in our governance document. If you have any comments or suggestions, please send them to Morna McEachern at mcmorna@uw.edu.
