Faculty Field Courses

Faculty field courses

The mission of the Pacific Northwest Canadian Studies Consortium is, in part, to connect Canadianists with one another and to support experiential professional development and education through faculty field courses.

From 2002-2009, the International Canada Summer Institute was held annually. The Institute was led by Kevin Cook, Senior Political, Economic and Academic Officer of the Consulate General of Canada in Seattle with funding from the Government of Canada’s Understanding Canada grants.

Since the Understanding Canada grants program ended, the Consortium has continued to offer faculty field courses on an ad hoc basis as funding is available.
