Join the Tateuchi East Asia Library on Monday, November 27, at 2pm as they host a series of “Korean Classics” thematic events. Across the afternoon, participants will be introduced to Korean short stories, sample Korean teas, and watch a film from the Golden Age of Korean cinema. The event is free and open to all.
The first portion of the afternoon features Professor Bruce Fulton (UBC). Professor Fulton will present and discuss his recently edited volume, The Penguin Book of Korean Short Stories.
The second event welcomes Tea Master Youngmi Yi. Ms. Yi will introduce newly translated books alongside traditional Korean tea and desserts.
Finally, the film “Mama and the Boarder (1961) will be screened for all in attendance.
