Heekyoung Cho’s Research Featured in the NEH Magazine

The current issue of the magazine of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) includes an article about relay translation, specifically the translation of Russian texts into Korean via Japanese translations, based predominantly on work by Associate Professor of Asian Languages and Literature, Heekyoung Cho. The article is premised on research within Professor Cho’s book, Translation’s Forgotten History: Russian Literature, Japanese Mediation, and the Formation of Modern Korean Literature (Harvard University Asia Center, 2016).
