TJ Okamura

TJ received his MA in Japan Studies from JSIS in 2022, and his BA from Western Washington University, double majoring in History and East Asian Studies in 2015. His research interests are primarily in Asia defense, history, and nikkei relations. His future goal is working in the international relations field through the State department or non-profit.

Concurrently, TJ is a Specialist in the United States Army Reserve as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst. He is furthering his military career through ROTC. In his free time, TJ enjoys kendo and rock climbing.
