Conference Venues
The CESS 2017 Conference will take place in three venues at the University of Washington.
Daytime panel sessions on October 5-6 will take place in the HUB (also known as the Husky Union Building), which is located at the heart of the University of Washington campus. The HUB’s street address is 4001 E Stevens Way NE, Seattle, WA 98195.Daytime panel sessions on October 7-8 will take place in the chateau-style Denny Hall.
Eat and Drink
Seattle is a city known for its fresh seafood, authentic cuisine, and highly developed microbrewery scene. Below, we list some recommended restaurants in the University District, nearby University Village, and in Seattle’s downtown. These include everything from pizza parlors to waterfront dining featuring salmon and crab from Puget Sound and even Alaska.
Conference attendees will find food and drink options in three locations on and around campus:

The HUB
- The HUB serves as the University of Washington’s student union building. As such, it contains a food court on its lower floor as well as Starbucks and a convenience store. (Open weekdays for lunch.)
