Spaces of Creative Resistance Conference 2021

The UW Japan Studies Program is Proud to Sponsor Spaces of Creative Resistance 2021, a research initiative by UW Faculty Andrea Gevurtz Arai (JSIS & UW Japan Studies Program) and Jeff Hou (Dept. of Landscape Architecture & UW Taiwan Studies Program).

The three day conference, called “Public Spaces, Creative Action, Democratic Practices in East Asia,” will be held on May 7th-9th. UW Students, Faculty, and special invitees will join guest speakers from across the U.S. and East Asia to explore and share knowledge on current social movements in East Asia.
