The Border is Everywhere: Immigration Enforcement in the Contemporary Pacific Northwest

In “The Border is Everywhere” UWCHR analyzes Department of Homeland Security data to examine recent immigration enforcement trends and policies and their implications for human rights. The report shows that in many ways immigration enforcement in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) follows national patterns, but also points to areas where migrants in the PNW face worse conditions, including longer average detention times and worse immigration court outcomes than elsewhere in the country.
