- Date: 2024
In this report, “Paths to Compliance: The Effort to Protect Immigrant Rights in Washington State”, the University of Washington Center for Human Rights examines compliance with the Keep Washington Working Act (KWW), a landmark 2019 “sanctuary” law aimed at safeguarding immigrant rights.
Following UWCHR’s initial 2021 report on KWW compliance, “Protecting Immigrant Rights: Is Washington’s Law Working?”, the new report highlights how advocates in civil society and government have acted to ensure the law is effectively securing protections for Washington State residents, while also surfacing ongoing limitations and concerns.
