Bryce Lewis-Smith
About
Bryce Lewis-Smith (he/him) grew up in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, on the rocky shoreline of the Salish Sea and under the canopy of Western Red Cedars and Big Leaf Maples. As a Potawatomi guest on Coast Salish lands, he strives to build collaboration with and amplify local Indigenous voices in conversations and movements around environmental justice, treaty rights, and relationality.
Bryce earned his BA in Environmental Biology with a minor in Urban Environmental Policy from Occidental College and is currently a master’s student studying Environmental Justice and American Indian Studies at the University of Washington.
Bryce’s role on the “Indigenous Rights and Environmental Sustainability” project is to help build institutional relations, focus on outreach to Tribal institutions, and engage in UW student outreach.
