Alex Chuang

Alex is community organizer and first year masters student in the School of Social Work. Since 2020, Alex has organized with the Massage Parlor Outreach Project (MPOP), a grassroots formation organizing Chinese massage workers in the Chinatown International District and other areas of Seattle. Their work with MPOP focuses on implementing infrastructure for language justice and creating internal political education curriculum for members. In their free time, Alex also builds language justice practices with the International Migrants Alliance, a global alliance of grassroots migrants organizations fighting for migrant self determination against imperialist plunder, exploitation and forced migration.
