Mustafa is a law student with a background in political science and Middle Eastern studies. Previously, he worked at the Carter Center on the Preventing Violent Extremism Team and with Orphan Charity Foundation in Baghdad, Iraq. His research centers on how government structures exacerbate and resolve ethnic conflict in the Middle East.

He is hoping to strengthen his Persian skills and put his linguistic and cultural competencies to work as a lawyer in Seattle and beyond.
