Miranda Behrends

Miranda is interested in international education and the problems students face while pursuing education abroad. Her research focuses on international student support systems by specifically looking at how UW and other US universities provide resources to international students. She hopes to use this research to help universities be better able to equip both incoming and outgoing students with the tools they need to have a successful and enriching experience abroad. Before pursuing her Master’s at UW, she received her Bachelor’s at Haverford College in English literature and Japanese language – two of her other passions. She previously worked for the Haverford College Study Abroad Office, and she hopes to continue her involvement in global education after graduation.
