Tami Blumenfield

After graduating with a Masters in China Studies from the Jackson School, Tami Blumenfield went on to receive a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Washington. She then found a full-time faculty position as an Associate Professor of Asian Studies at Furman University in Greeneville, South Carolina. Tami is an anthropologist and her research interests include tourism, gender, and media production in China.
Tami has published widely based on the fieldwork she has conducted in Southwest China amongst the Na people. Tami teaches courses on both the anthropology of East Asia and China as well as general topics in cultural anthropology.
