Chiwa Lee

Chiwa Lee is studying in the MA China Studies program. Chiwa earned his first bachelor’s
degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Sociology. In Hong Kong,
Chiwa had two main careers as a journalist and a public relations professional. After moving
to Seattle in 2021, he completed his second bachelor’s degree in integrated social sciences at
UW. He is interested in researching the state, its governance, and international relations in
contemporary China. Chiwa is also a runner who is chasing the dream of completing the
world’s major six marathons.
