Building a Global Studies Certificate

October 27, 2023

11:00 AM-12:00 PM PST

Please join us for a special fall session of Global Studies Virtual Symposium (GSVS), an event that connects global studies scholars and educators across community college campuses nationwide. The symposium offers an engaging teaching and learning forum for sharing best practices, ideas, and resources with colleagues. The GSVS is sponsored by the Center for Global Studies and the Institute for Global Studies (IGS), in collaboration with Green River College and Ridgewater College.

During this special fall session, Janet Scott and Nicole Trevena Flores, educators at Southeast Community College in Nebraska, will explore the process of creating and implementing a Global Studies Certificate and an Introduction to Global Studies course for community college students.

The Global Studies Virtual Symposium is offered at no cost to participants and is open to higher education faculty, staff, and scholars. Registration is required to participate in this free Global Studies Virtual Symposium and receive the Zoom link for the event.
