Tentative schedule:

The 2025 Community College Master Teacher Institute will be held July 24-25 on the University of Washington campus. This year’s event is titled “Global Sports: Culture, Society, and Economy” and will explore how sports around the world impact peoples and nations around the world.  The workshop will look at how global sports like soccer connect peoples across the world, as well as how smaller sports unique to a country or region reflect local cultures and histories.

The two-day workshop will feature a range of academic and practitioner experts examining these topics from a range of disciplinary and regional perspectives. The CCMTI is open to community college instructors who teach courses related to global and regional studies, or who currently or plan to incorporate global themes into their teaching in other disciplines.

Space in the event is limited, and so prospective participants must submit an application for consideration. The application portal will be opened later this spring. Watch this website for updates and additional details!
