Undergraduate Research

UW’s 24th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium will take place virtually on May 21, 2021.

The Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium is an opportunity for undergraduates to present what they have learned through their research experiences to a larger audience.

Undergraduates — 750 of them! — from all three UW campuses will present their research in a wide-range of disciplines, from astronomy to visual arts, international studies to psychology, anthropology to bioengineering and just about everything in between.

The Symposium also provides a forum for students, faculty, and the community to discuss cutting edge research topics and to examine the connection between research and education. The Symposium includes presentations by students from all academic disciplines and all three UW campuses, plus invited guests. This year’s Symposium will be hosted virtually.

Undergraduate research addresses pressing issues of population health

This year, the Population Health Initiative recognizes ten undergraduate researchers “for their innovative and well-presented population health research work” with the Population Health Recognition Awards.
