The UW China Studies Program is happy to announce a new recurring event series, the China Studies Book Club, for 2021. Taking place on the second Tuesday of every other month via Zoom, the club will discuss one pre-announced book at each session in a casual setting.
The club will discuss Wang Gungwu’s Home is Not Here (2018) on February 9, 2021, and Chris Courtney’s The Nature of Disaster in China: The 1931 Yangzi River Flood (2019) on April 13, 2021. UW China Studies is currently taking suggestions for books to discuss at future meetings.
