Winter 2017: Core Research Seminar in Chinese History (HSTAS 555-556)

December 8, 2016

Doctoral students whose research involves Chinese history, including those in departments other than History, may wish to consider taking the two-part graduate seminar HSTAS 555-556, Core Research Seminar in Chinese History.  This will be taught in the Winter and Spring quarters, meeting Wednesdays from 11am-12:50pm.  Students are expected to take both parts.  The primary goal of this course is to introduce students to strategies of researching and writing Chinese history, with the focus on the production of a research paper equivalent to a dissertation chapter or journal article.  Those students interested in taking this class should contact the instructor, Prof. Matthew Mosca (mosca@uw.edu).
