Omeka is a free, flexible, and open source web-publishing platform for the display of library, museum, archives, and scholarly collections and exhibitions.
Join UW Libraries on Friday, December 4, from 10 – 11:30 am for an introduction to Omeka.
Interested in building a digital exhibition with your images and media? Come to our Omeka workshop to learn how this tool could help you build your own online exhibit. In this “Introduction to Omeka” workshop you will:
- Learn about Omeka and how it has been used by faculty and students at other institutions
- Feel comfortable adding items to collections, writing descriptive metadata, and building simple exhibits in Omeka
- Reflect on how you can use this software in your own teaching or scholarship
This workshop will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required. This workshop is offered in partnership with the Tri-campus digital scholarship leads.
