Charlie Shih is a Master\u2019s student in Culturally Sustaining Education affiliated with Taiwan Studies. She authored a set of children\u2019s picture books as a part of a process of reconnection with her Pazeh (a Pingpu Indigenous (Plains Indigenous) language from central Taiwan) heritage and to contribute to revitalization efforts. The stories use home-based daily language vocabulary to tell stories using simple sentences in Pazeh with translations in Mandarin and English. They are intended to support families in Taiwan and in the diaspora to learn and practice the Pazeh language alongside their children and bring it back into their daily lives. yagira!<\/p>\n
