Ellen Eskenazi

As the East Asia Center Program and Operations Specialist Ellen supports the JSIS Japan Studies, Korea Studies, and Taiwan Studies Programs as well as the Center for Korea Studies. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, she has lived and traveled in Japan as a professional and a student (Tsuda University). She is a UW alum, with a BA in East Asia Studies from the Jackson School of International Studies, and certificate in Project Management. The latter was earned during a career in information technology in the telecommunication and finance sectors. Ellen has served on the board of the Japan America Society of the State of Washington since 2015 and is a past Chair (2021-22.)
