href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/news\/new-faculty-profile-kavita-dattani-assistant-professor-in-gender-women-and-sexuality-studies\/\">Kavita Dattani<\/a>, a feminist researcher of digital technologies and data, joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. In the Department of History, <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/news\/new-faculty-profile-aditya-ramesh-assistant-professor-of-history\/\">Aditya Ramesh<\/a>, a historian of science, technology, and the environment in South Asia, joined as Assistant Professor.<\/p>\n<p>In the Department of Asian Languages &amp; Literature, a <strong>generous gift<\/strong> from Hanuma and Anuradha Kodavalla established the <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/news\/endowed-chair-in-telugu-to-expand-language-and-cultural-opportunities\/\">Hanuma and Anuradha Kodavalla Endowed Chair in Telugu<\/a> at the University of Washington. By enhancing the university\u2019s ability to recruit and retain faculty with expertise in <strong>Telugu language, culture, and literature<\/strong>, the endowment ensures that Telugu will be
