South Asia Center Foreign Language and Area Studies<\/a> (FLAS) fellow Nathanael Mark (MA – South Asia Studies) was recently featured in a story<\/a> for the Jackson School Report<\/a> on the impact of FLAS fellowships at UW and beyond.<\/p>\n

\u201cFLAS has been an indispensable component of my collegiate career for two main reasons: It has given me the tools and resources to enrich myself in the Persian language, allowing me to work intimately with Afghan sources in their language of origin, and surrounded me with like-minded individuals dedicated to language and academic study, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment,\u201d said Nathanael.<\/p>\n
