Given the recent effects of the global pandemic on teaching, we will particularly privilege courses that: demonstrate modularity with respect to online learning and technologies; have built-in adaptability to transition to an online environment; and include a plan to take a course completely online, whether synchronously or asynchronously taught.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Award categories:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of new module to an existing course: up to $2,000<\/li>\n<li>Complete revision of an existing course: up to $3,000<\/li>\n<li>Development of a new course: up to $4,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application deadline for both programs is <strong>Friday, August 28, at 11:59pm PDT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Learn more and apply:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/uwasdg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asian and Global Studies Course Development Grants<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/resources\/resources-teachers\/uw-highline-peer-to-peer-course-development-grant\/\">Highline College Peer-to-Peer Course Development Grants<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Note: Highline College faculty whose course proposal focuses on South Asia Studies may be considered for both grant programs.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The South Asia Center seeks proposals from community college full-time, part-time, and adjunct faculty for new course development, revision of an existing course, or creation of a new course module, all to be taught at their current institution.
