This urbanization also means that despite widespread economic dynamism, the global pattern of poverty, informality and exclusion is acquiring a more urban face in the Global South.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What do the cities of the Global South tell us about the contemporary urban condition?<\/li>\n<li>How is urban space produced and experienced in an era of great inequality and instability?<\/li>\n<li>What processes shape the Cities of the Global South?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To address these and other such questions, in this course we will explore urban lives and spaces across cities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
