By submitting this application, you will be considered for up to all three of the opportunities listed below, depending on your eligibility. Applicants should familiarize themselves with the eligibility requirements of each fellowship or scholarship.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/resources\/funding\/conlon\/\">Frank F. Conlon Fellowship in South Asian Studies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/resources\/funding\/iaww\/\">Indian American Community Services Scholarship for the Study of South Asia<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/resources\/funding\/varanasi-india-scholarship\/\">S. Rao and Usha Varanasi Endowed Scholarship for Studies of India<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/programs\/m-a-international-studies-south-asia\/\">M.A. Program in South Asia Studies<\/a> are automatically considered for these funding opportunities and should <strong>not<\/strong> submit an application here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who should use this application?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current or prospective UW students who meet the eligibility requirements of at least one of the opportunities listed above<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who should <em>not<\/em> use this application?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New applicants to the M.A. Program in South Asia Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A written proposal of approximately two single-spaced pages (1000 words) detailing your academic plan and how the fellowship\/scholarship fits in with your education and\/or career plans<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Official or unofficial transcripts from all colleges or universities attended<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Financial need<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Two letters of recommendation<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Apply Now<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply, click the link below and select <em>South Asia Center Funding Application<\/em>.
