Our faculty teach about, conduct research, and facilitate student engagement in all the countries of South Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The South Asian Studies Program offers an undergraduate South Asian Studies track within the Asian Studies major in the <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/\">Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/programs\/b-a-asia-studies-south-asia\/\">a minor in South Asian Studies<\/a>, a<a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/programs\/m-a-international-studies-south-asia\/\"> Master of Arts Degree in South Asian Studies<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/jsis.washington.edu\/southasia\/programs\/certificate\/\">graduate certificate<\/a> in South Asian Studies for UW students, and opportunities for PhD students from across the campus to focus on South Asia.<\/p>\n<p>The South Asia Center, funded by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ed.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Education<\/a>, is a resource for the UW campus, the state of Washington, the Pacific Northwest region, and the entire U.S. Our public programs provide valuable insights into current and historical events and trends in South Asia to general audiences, the business community, and media.
