The Jackson School’s Center for West European Studies (CWES) and the European Union Center are excited to unveil a new website!
The new online platform features up-to-date information on programs, including study abroad opportunities, the E.U. Visit Program, travel grants, and more. The new website also showcases students in European Studies, maintains a list of European Studies faculty, and provides internship resources for students and alumni.
The Center for West European Studies was founded in 1994 and is one of 11 federally-funded National Resource Centers for European or West European Studies in the U.S.
The mission is to enhance the quality of teaching and research on West European politics, society, and culture through outreach to universities, business, the general public and the K-12 community. The Center’s programs are interdisciplinary, fostering collaboration between Europeanists from 20 different departments and professional schools on campus.
The European Union Center was established in 1998 and focuses on innovative teaching, outreach, and research programs in the study of the E.U., its institutions and policies and E.U.-U.S. relations.
