Nicholas Heer is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures, Univeristy of Washington. His academic experience  includes extensive research and study in Saudi Arabia and he taught courses in Independent Study in Arabic, Islamic law, and Arabic translation. His most recent publications include:
