Simon Liepold works in Microsoft’s Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs department, defining and managing a number of select, cross-departmental initiatives and projects within the Office of the President. As part of this work, he drives programs around the world to help harness new technologies to enhance public discussion and policy formation of strategic importance.
In the course of his 9 year career at the company, he has worked in Microsoft’s US based Global Government Affairs Team and in the German subsidiary in various roles and segments, including public relations, corporate affairs and the company’s small and midsize business group.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Simon worked at public affairs firms in Berlin and Brussels. He is a graduate of the University of Constance (Germany), and holds a Master of Public Affairs and Politics from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA.
