Josh Lozman is director of Program Advocacy and Communications at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he provides leadership for the foundation’s advocacy in the areas of women’s and children’s health and gender equity, and leads the foundation’s strategy for co-chair Melinda Gates’ advocacy and communication. Prior to joining the foundation in 2012, he served in the Obama administration as chief of staff to the National Economic Council. He spent more than four years at the global advocacy organization ONE, where his roles included global policy director and chief of staff. Lozman has also worked at various development policy organizations including the Global Health Council and the Center for Global Development. He sits on the board of the Washington Global Health Alliance and the steering committee of the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program. Lozman holds a master’s degree in public health and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
