The\u00a0Latino<\/span>\u00a0Center<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0Health<\/span>\u00a0at UW selected\u00a0Dr. Jose Antonio Lucero, Dr. Maria Elena Garcia<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Dr. Ricardo Gomez<\/strong>\u00a0to be recognized at the Latinx Faculty Recognition Event, May 2 2019. This annual event honors the scholarly achievements of Latina and\u00a0Latino<\/span>\u00a0faculty across the three-campuses of the University of Washington for the academic year 2018-2019.<\/p>\n

Jose Antonio Lucero<\/strong>\u00a0is the Chair of Latin America and Caribbean Studies and the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies Associate Director.<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Elena Garc\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0is associate professor in Comparative History of Ideas and the Jackson School of International Studies. She is also Joff Hanauer Honors Professor in Western Civilization (2018-2020).<\/p>\n

Ricardo Gomez<\/strong>\u00a0is Associate Professor in the Information School.<\/p>\n
