Tuesday, August 23, 2022, the University of Washington\u2019s Tateuchi East Asia Library will host Booksori #88 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. PT. UW Alumni, Mr. Norman Thorpe, joins Korea Studies Librarian, Hyokyoung Yi, to discuss the harrowing events of the 1980 Kwangju Massacre. A former reporter for the Asian Wallstreet Journal based in Seoul from1977 to1982, Mr. Thorpe will recount his experiences documenting the atrocity.<\/p>\n
