CANCELLED<\/span><\/strong><\/span>: Spring 2018 Teachers’ Conference in Korean Studies Focused on History and Social Studies in Secondary Schools (K-12)<\/h2>\n

The University of Washington Center for Korea Studies at the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies is hosting a KOREA IN THE NEWS! High School K-12 Teachers Workshop on\u00a0Saturday May 19, 2018 from 9-4pm .<\/span><\/span>\u00a0The Center for Korea Studies invites Washington State High School Social Studies and History teachers (K-12) to a special one-day workshop.\u00a0 Six clock hours are available for each teacher who attends.\u00a0 The University of Washington Center for Korea Studies has carefully selected Korea Studies experts who will provide 6 hours of training and materials on the history, culture, politics, and current events related to the Korean Peninsula.\u00a0 Teachers will also receive carefully selected books and reference materials for both educators and students. This includes standards-based lesson planes, Power-Point lectures, and art project instructions.\u00a0 Korean Lunch is provided for all participants!<\/p>\n

Participants must register by Monday March 1, 2018 by 5PM Pacific Time<\/span><\/p>\n
