Ikponwosa Ero is a lawyer by training and the first United Nations Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by persons with albinism. Ms. Ero\u2019s work is extensive, ranging from crafting groundbreaking, landmark advocacy initiatives, including the African Union Plan of Action on Albinism in Africa (2021-2031) and the Pan African Parliament Guidelines on Accusations of Witchcraft and Ritual Attacks: Eliminating Harmful Practices and other Human Rights Violations. This interview is greatly supported by the Center of Global Studies, featuring Ms. Ero\u2019s public lecture on albinism human rights. This interview has been edited for clarity.<\/em><\/p>\n
