This paid lecture is part of SAM\u2019s Saturday University, a monthly lecture series featuring experts from around the world and offers new insights on Asia throughout time. Specifically, Oshima\u2019s lecture will explore Noguchi\u2019s interdisciplinary, globe-spanning career intersecting in the Pacific Northwest. This research is part of the exhibition\/book,\u00a0\u201cIsamu Noguchi:<em> \u201d<\/em>I am not a designer<em>\u201d o<\/em>rganized by the High Museum of Art and currently on display at the Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>About Ken Tadashi Oshima<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Oshima\u00a0is Professor of Architecture at the University of Washington, Seattle, where he teaches cross-national architectural history, theory and design. He has been a visiting professor at the Harvard GSD and UCLA. Oshima is a Fellow of the Society of Architectural Historians and served as President from 2016-18.
