On February 19th,\u00a0Dr. Shi Yinhong (\u65f6\u6bb7\u5f18),\u00a0Professor of International Relations at Renmin University of China, Counselor of State Council of People’s Republic of China, gave a lecture on the “China-U.S. Rivalry in the Recent Past, Present and Future”, the fourth in a six-part series on US-China diplomatic relations.<\/p>\n
Professor Emeritus Donald Hellmann of the Japan Studies Program served as one of four discussants. Student newspaper The Daily was on-site to report:<\/p>\n
Hellmann said that the digital technological revolution and the shift of political and economic power to China and East Asia would create an increasingly interdependent and non-convergent world difficult for the United States, China, or anyone to easily manage.
