Tanaka\u2019s book entitled Subject Librarians: Unpacking Their Roles in American Academic Libraries<\/em> (Japanese: \u30b5\u30d6\u30b8\u30a7\u30af\u30c8\u30fb\u30e9\u30a4\u30d6\u30e9\u30ea\u30a2\u30f3 \uff0d \u6d77\u306e\u5411\u3053\u3046\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab\u306e\u5b66\u8853\u56f3\u66f8\u9928\u306e\u4ed5\u4e8b) was published by Kasamashoin in December, 2017. This new book focuses on what it means to be a subject librarian in U.S. academic libraries, and details the \u201chistory, qualification, career steps, and day to day work\u201d of librarians like herself.<\/p>\n On Saturday, February 24, 2018, Tanaka will be giving a book talk and signing at Kinokuniya, Seattle (525 South Weller St. Seattle, WA 98104). The talk will appeal to those who are interested in the differences between Japanese and U.S. academic libraries.
